Important: The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant flows from the US Department of Education through NJDOE. Schools and districts apply. Project Inspiration cannot apply directly. Your district applies, names Project Inspiration as your community partner, and we deliver the programming. You get the grant funding. Project Inspiration does the work. Project Inspiration will help write your program narrative at no cost.

Every Question You Might Have. Answered.
We believe in radical transparency. If a question is on your mind, it deserves a complete, honest answer.
What exactly does Project Inspiration cost, and can we afford it?
Our full-year partnership ranges from $85–$150 per student. For a cohort of 30 students at $120/student, the total annual investment is $3,600, less than $300/month. Many schools cover this entirely through existing funding streams.
What is included? What costs extra?
Everything is included: program staff and instructors, curriculum and lesson plans, equipment, credential preparation materials, mentorship coordination, case management, family engagement events, and reporting.
How does Project Inspiration programming fit into our school day?
We are flexible. The most common model is after school, 3–5 days per week, 2–3 hours per session, requiring no modification to your school day. For schools with CTE elective periods, we can co-design in-school instruction.
Do students earn real credentials through Project Inspiration programming?
Yes. Industry-recognized credentials, not participation certificates. Depending on the track: OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety certification, CompTIA IT Fundamentals, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+ preparation, FAA drone awareness, trades readiness, and digital media credentials.
What age groups does Project Inspiration serve?
Ages 10 through 24+. Middle school students begin with career exploration. High school students move into skill-building, certification, and work experience. Young adults ages 17–24 can access our WIOA-aligned workforce pathways.
Can you serve students with IEPs, 504 plans, or behavioral challenges?
Yes. Our programming is built on trauma-informed, restorative practices. We have extensive experience serving students from alternative schools, behavioral programs, foster care experiences, and high-barrier environments.
What data and reporting do you provide?
Monthly: enrollment, attendance, and early warning flags. Quarterly: credential attainment, skill progression, family engagement, and employer activity. Annually: full program evaluation with KPIs and partnership outcomes.
What makes Project Inspiration different from other afterschool programs?
Most afterschool programs offer activities. We offer outcomes. The Clear Pathway Approach™ is an eight-stage framework where every activity connects to the next, every skill builds toward a credential, and every credential connects to a career pathway.
How quickly can we launch a program?
30 days for exposure events and simple after-school launches. 60–90 days for full partnerships with intake, mentor matching, and credential track selection. We handle recruitment, orientation, and implementation planning with your team.
What recognition does our organization receive for partnering with Project Inspiration?
Your organization is listed as a featured partner on our website and in Project Inspiration publications. We can issue a formal press release. Your logo appears on Project Inspiration marketing materials, social media, and grant applications when appropriate.
What happens if it doesn’t work for our school?
Every partnership includes a 30-day review checkpoint after launch. If the program is not meeting expectations for any reason, we work together to adjust. If adjustments do not resolve the issue, we will not trap a school in a partnership that is not serving students well.
