Audio Arts
🎧 Audio Enrichment Programming
Music Production – Youth learn the full process of creating beats, arranging instrumentals, sampling, and composing music using industry-standard software like ProTools and Logic Pro.
Music Recording – Students get practical training in microphone techniques, vocal tracking, studio etiquette, and sound engineering.
Singing Lessons – Participants receive vocal coaching focused on tone, pitch control, breathing techniques, and performance.
Audio Engineering – A technical course that teaches mixing, mastering, equalization, compression, and sound design.
DJ Training – Hands-on DJ lessons that cover beatmatching, cueing, scratching, live mixing, and DJ software.

Cultural Arts Enrichment Programming (Cultural Arts Enrichment Lab)
1. Dance Lessons
Youth explore a range of dance styles including hip hop, Afrobeat, modern, and freestyle. The program focuses on rhythm, body movement, coordination, and choreography. Students have opportunities to perform in showcases and community events, enhancing self-expression and confidence.
2. Poetry & Creative Writing
Participants engage in spoken word, slam poetry, lyrical writing, and storytelling. This program nurtures literacy, emotional intelligence, and communication skills through journaling, performance poetry, and participation in poetry slams and publishing opportunities.
3. Art Classes
Visual arts instruction includes drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Youth learn about art history, cultural symbolism, and personal expression. Classes are project-based, culminating in gallery-style exhibitions.
4. Fashion Design & Modeling
Students learn the basics of clothing design, pattern making, fabric selection, and sewing. The modeling component focuses on runway walking, posture, presentation, and personal style. Youth present their work in fashion shows and style showcases.
5. Cosmetology
Hands-on training in hair styling, nail care, skincare, and makeup application. This program blends cultural identity with modern beauty practices and offers career pathways in the cosmetology industry. Students also learn about hygiene, professionalism, and business basics.
6. Entrepreneurship & Branding
Workshops teach how to turn artistic and creative passions into sustainable brands or businesses. Topics include logo design, marketing strategy, content creation, pricing, social media presence, and how to pitch ideas to potential investors or clients.
7. Culinary Arts
Students receive instruction in cooking fundamentals, knife skills, food safety, and meal preparation. Lessons highlight nutrition, international cuisines, and cultural dishes. Participants explore how food connects to identity, tradition, and community, often preparing meals for community events or food-based entrepreneurship.
